However, at this time captain Rahul Dravid decided to declare the innings and Tendulkar missed his double century by six runs. Sachin looked a little unhappy with Dravid’s decision. Former Team India cricketer Aakash Chopra, while referring to the story of that match on YouTube channel 2 Slaggers, said that, at that time I was also present in the dressing room and Sachin paaji did not look very happy that day. This was the first time I saw paaji so angry, before this I had not seen him losing his temper in anger. Although he did not lose his temper even in such anger. Apart from this, Chopra also revealed that the decision to declare the innings was not of Dravid alone but of the entire team. He also said that despite not being a part of the match, Sourav Ganguly was in the dressing room and he helped the team management to take this decision.
Aakash Chopra said that the decision to declare the innings could not have been taken only by Rahul Dravid, but could have been taken by the team management. Regarding this, Rahul Dravid had said that if he had known that the match would end within four days, he would never have declared the innings.
